A breaking change to the Scheduled Orders workflow is now available in UAT on September 18 for your testing. The most important update is the renaming of the “draft” status to “upcoming.” Partners MUST update their systems to use the new status.

Key Changes

“Draft” to “Upcoming” (Breaking Change)
- The order status previously called draft is now upcoming.
- All partner systems, API consumers, and workflow logic must be updated to reflect this new status name.

Scheduled orders can now be edited

Partners and clinicians may modify Scheduled orders before approval.

New approval fields

Orders now include:
- approvaldate
- approval
by

These fields are set when an order is approved or pre‑approved, but only if the order is in Upcoming/Scheduled status. Re‑approving failed orders (resubmissions) will not update these fields.

Updated approval endpoints

  • Approve → Approves the order and moves it to Ready
  • Pre‑approve → Approves the order but keeps it Scheduled until its effective_date
  • Delete approval → Removes approval

Clinician app update

Approved Scheduled orders will display an approved label or checkmark in order details.
